I want to get a piercing but i am allergic to penicillin?

I really want to get a lip piercing but mane people have told me i can't because i am allergic to penicillin i already have 5 piercings (in my ears) i never had any problems , so i was wondering if there are any other things i could take other than penicillin in case it ever gets infected ?
